Easy Glam with Charlotte Tilbury

Charlotte Tilbury is a brand that I have adored for quite some time. Everything from the rose gold packaging, the high quality of the products and more than anything I admire the passion behind Charlotte herself. I love people who inspire, and particularly inspiring women. Anyone who makes me want to work harder, and give everything I can is a big inspiration to me, and Charlotte is a woman who I really admire. That is why I enjoy her products and support her brand, because it is a brand I want to be part of.

I consider the Charlotte Tilbury products a luxury beauty item, but one I am happy to invest in when it’s the right product for me. For quite some time now I have been eyeing a few of their products waiting for the right time to treat myself, and this week, I felt like a little treat was in order. I have started to get really focused again and committed to firmly getting my tone it up girl goals reached, and I am really proud of the progress I have made so far. But with all that hard work comes a lot of workouts and sweaty gym gear. Getting dolled up and a little dressy is always great for feeling a little more put together and putting that hard work to good use.

Get the look

Perfect Base

For this look I really wanted to have glowing, gorgeous skin, and the first step to achieving this for me is a great moisturiser. Recently I have been loving the L’Occitane  pivoine sublime perfecting cream. Applying this to a clean face, I only needed a touch to completely hydrate and prepare my skin for the makeup.

Flawless Coverage

Of course after your moisturiser, a great base makeup is essential in getting the perfect look. I wanted a full coverage foundation to really get the glam look straight away. I have been loving the Urban Decay All nighter foundation, not only is it long-lasting, it offers amazing coverage and a small amount goes a long way.

Then following that with the Urban decay Naked skin concealer under my eyes and in any problem areas, I then added a little blush to enhance the cheeks. For a night-time look, a little extra bronzer or contour is what really can bring it all together and give that all important glow. I equally love the urban decay Naked flush palette as well as the staple product Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar bronze and glow.

Instant Eye Palette

I posted recently about this limited edition Palette here. I honestly am so in love with this palette, not only is it beautiful, it’s practical, perfect to transition from day to-night and of course great quality. I love the concept of the palette, with the four key looks you may need. The colours of this palette are so beautiful for an everyday look and to blend and build to a night-time look. For this particular look, I chose to focus on using the date night colours as I think they are the most stunning from the palette. Though I have seen mixed reviews on the palette, I haven’t found any problems personally.

Starting with the day eye colours, I covered the lid with the beautiful mauve tone ‘Smoke’ I then used the gorgeous tones from the ‘desk eye’ shades, using both the matte shades to blend and build the colour slowly.

As this is a glam look, I wanted to add a smoky eye, but nothing too heavy. Building up the colour using the shade ‘smoke’ from date eye, I added this into the outer corner, blending the colour with a little bit of black. I wanted a soft look and nothing too harsh, so using a brush to blend out the colour was a must. I then finally played around with the shimmer shades building up colour once again and creating that much needed sparkle.

Brows and lipstick

I recently had my eyebrows microbladed by the amazing team at Oh my brows, which means my brows don’t really require too much product anymore. However, it’s always nice to tidy them up a little and add a little powder or gel to really complete a look. I used the Brow kit by Kady in dark, for this particular look as this is a powder base. The brush the kit comes with is really lovely, small and precise and is exactly what you need, when adding to your brows. My favourite part of the brow kit, is of course the mini gel applicator with the tinted gel. This is so cute and is much better then the large brushes you usually find, as you can be more precise on where you apply the gel.

Of course you can’t have a glam look without a great lipstick and Charlotte Tilbury has amazing shades on offer. I wanted a beautiful red, but with it being Autumn season, you can really use any dark or red lipstick to complete the look. I decided to go with the shade Love bite,  and I love that this lip really completes the look. Perfect for a night out at Christmas or a date night look on the town.

Highlight Finish

Glam and glowing of course needs to include highlighter! One of my all time favourites is still the Rosie Huntington Whiteley highlighter. Whilst a little goes a long way, I think its safe to say we ladies like as much highlighter as we can get. For this particular look however, I used a combination Rosie and the highlight from the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar bronze and glow.

What product do you think you would love to try from Charlotte Tilbury?
