S.W. Basics is the breath of fresh air I have been craving. Not only is this a natural skin care brand and cruelty free, this happens to be a genuinely great line of products.

I have been using the S.W Basics line for just over a month now, as I like to give something a real test before discussing it on my blog.  I have to say, I have nothing but praise for this line. This brand stand for simple, natural skin care. All of the products have 5 ingredients or less so you know exactly what you are getting in every product.

Cleanser

Not what many people will expect from a cleanser, this is applied using a cotton pad and placing the product all over the face. The cleanser is then rinsed off with water. Many people expect a cleanser to be a creamy texture, to lather and acts a scrub, often a harsh scrub in fact. However this is a gentle liquid that does not act as a scrub, it is not harsh on the skin, yet it cleans your skin very throughly. The product is light and gentle, and a little goes a long way. The cleanser only contains 3 ingredients: Rosewater, Tea tree oil and vegetable glycerin, all of which are organic.

I think some people will find it hard to adjust from a harsh cleanser to this, however, as S.W Basics state themselves, this is as close to water as you can get. I know I would rather have three ingredients I can pronounce going onto my face, than any other harsh chemicals.

Toner

The toner is applied in the same way as the cleanser. Using a cotton pad after cleansing, the toner needs to be applied all over the face. I can’t say this product has any kind of scent but it definitely feels natural on my face.

The toner removes any lingering makeup that the cleanser may not have reached as well as getting in deep to make sure that your face is perfectly cleansed and clean. I do feel as though I need more toner to make sure everything is fully removed, so I have found I have used more of the toner than cleanser in my usage. This product contains 5 ingredients: Water, raw apple cider vinegar, witch hazel, essential oils Clary sage & sandalwood.

Cream

Of course with a good skin care routine the final step is to hydrate and moisturise. The S.W Basics cream is not only for the face, but can be used for the body too. I have used this moisturiser both day and night to hydrate my skin. Be warned that the smallest amount of product goes a very, very long way.

Due to the ingredients, if you use too much this can feel a little greasy on the face, which is why you only need to use a very small amount. Once on the face however, this cream is super hydrating. I love this, and more importantly I love how little product you need. The cream has only 3 ingredients: Shea butter, coconut oil and olive oil.
