To say it’s been a while is a bit of an understatement. But the past month sort of got away from me, so the blog posts seem to have escaped me too, but hey that’s ok. Sometimes you just need to take a break for a little while.
Lately I’ve been looking at improving my skin. I enjoy not wearing makeup, or using something light like a BB cream. However, there are still problem areas that have made me want to improve my skin as much as possible, so that when I do wear lighter foundations, I can feel my most confident. I decided to see what else I could do, or what new products I could try. In doing so, I discovered that a brand called Dermalogica offered a free skin consolation at their counter, in Liverpool one. Therefore, I decided to take advantage of the free skin mapping offered, after which they identified areas for improvement and products to use. They identified three separate issues, based on the skin mapping. My problems are dehydration, some pigmentation and also comedones. Following this, I was also provided with a recommended routine for daytime and nighttime, and the list of products.
The face mapping was a quick process, but it was really interesting to see the problems they identified, as well as discussing what I wanted to improve. Afterwards, I wanted to read up on the products recommended and try the samples I was given before purchasing anything. There were a lot of products I really loved, but one in particular I knew I wanted to add to my routine immediately. The other products I definitely want to invest in, in the future, but as Dermologica products are a little more pricey, I decided to go with the one I thought I would get the most benefit from now.

The product I chose, was the Dermalogica daily microfoliant and it is an amazing product. Normally we are advised to exfoliate once, maybe twice a week. But I have found that my skin needs a deeper cleanse, as well as wanting my complexion to be brighter. This is the perfect product for that. It comes in a powder form, that you need to add to wet hands. This forms somewhat of a paste, but with you still being able to feel the granules. You then rub this into your skin before rinsing. After using this product my skin feels soft, brighter and just healthy! This is my new favourite product and I can’t wait to see how my skin is looking after a few months of using this. I also can’t wait to try some of the other products recommended to me, and look forward to seeing how my skin reacts.
If you are looking for something to not only brighten your skin, but get a deeper cleanse, then I highly recommend this.
