For a while now, I have been looking into purchasing a really high quality cleanser that can remove my makeup. I don’t enjoy makeup wipes as they feel so full of chemicals and can sting my eyes, and using cotton pads can take forever. I feel like I use half a pack of cotton pads each night just for mascara. So after shopping around and reading lots of reviews I decided to go with the Liz Earle Cleanser.
I picked up the ‘Cleanse & Polish – Hot cloth cleanser Jasmne & Osmanthus‘ cleanser set. Though they do sell the cleanser separately, I really wanted to get the set with the muslin cloths as well. When I went into Boots, they had a limited edition set available for £20.75. I thought this was a great deal as the regular cleanser alone is over £15.00. What I love about this cleanser is that it feels as though you are having a mini spa treatment every night! The idea is to use the muslin cloths in hot water, in order to wash the cleanser off along with your makeup.
The Liz Earle cleanse and polish set works like a dream. It is so gentle on your skin and due to the high quality natural ingredients there isn’t a lot of foaming action you may find with other cleansers, I love that it doesn’t foam much as I find that the way this cleanser works is purely on the ingredients. You need to apply this to your dry skin, only one or two small pumps. Massaging your face and neck, then finishing with your eye area. It is then that you will use the muslin cloth, soaking it in ‘hand hot water’ and ringing out the excess water. The idea is then to use a different part of the cloth on each part of your face, I like to break it down to my forehead, right side of my face, left side, neck and then my eye area last. If I have a lot of mascara on then I may well use a cotton pad before hand, but for the most part I just use this.
I really can’t praise the Liz Earle cleanser enough, I am not someone who is always great about remembering to take my makeup off, but since buying this I have made such an effort to take the time to wash my face properly and take the time to make sure it is clean before bed. What I also love, is what Liz Earle stand for. They don’t test on animals, or use animal ingredients, they believe in high quality and safe ingredients in their products, as well as caring about their impact on the environment and how they can reduce this.
If you are looking for a high quality cleanser and makeup remover then I really recommend giving this a try. After having such a great experience with this, I will be looking at their other skin care products for the future!

It really is. I prefer it over face wipes and make up remover wipes for sure!
