Lingerie & the confidence it can bring you…

So today I wanted to talk about something new, but a topic I have a real love for…lingerie! Though it is fashion related, I actually could class this as a beauty item in itself. Underwear is a necessity… to most of us (hey, nudist are people too!). However, I find that when talking about ‘underwear’, this term is referring to the practical and simple bras and knickers we wear. Lingerie on the other hand, is more than just something to wear under your clothes. I have always had a love for lingerie, not only the wonderful designs but just how pretty it can make you feel. I’m not sure why but anytime I walk into a clothing store, I am always drawn to the lingerie.

H&M- Mint Bra/ Marks& Spencer – Black Bra/ H&M Red Bra

It may have something to do with my fascination with the Victoria’s secret show. I watch it every year, and I just love how beautiful the lingerie and the added costumes are. Although I don’t look like Miranda Kerr in my bra, lingerie always makes me feel like I do! So why can investing in a few pieces of lingerie make all the difference?

Adding some pieces to your underwear draw can really add a much-needed refreshment to your everyday attire. Sometimes you need a little something special, whether going on a night out, a date, or even just under your work clothes. Lingerie can make you feel a little extra pretty, put together, sexy, and give you confidence. I don’t think there is anything better than when you feel good about yourself and show that to the world. If a gorgeous bra can give you a confidence boost, and make you walk a little taller, then why not invest! Some people find that a great lipstick, or the perfect pair of heels can do the same, for me lingerie is something that makes me feel good.

Bra & Panties – H&M

I think sometimes women can see lingerie as just a treat to wear on a very special occasion, or even just for a special someone. But I wear it for myself, and I also just love exploring the stores and looking at the gorgeous patterns and designs you can choose from. My personal favourite lingerie store is Boux Avenue, not only do they sell wonderful collections but shopping there is always a wonderful experience in itself. The staff are always lovely, helpful and I actually just love their changing rooms! You can call for a staff member at the touch of a button, every room has a unique name and the have excellent mirrors and lighting. I find it highly annoying when changing rooms have dim lights!

But Boux avenue isn’t where I always shop for lingerie. All of your favourite stores will have options to choose from, I actually find that H&M do some really lovely bras. Whether you want something on a budget or you decide to spend a little extra, you can find gorgeous lingerie wherever you choose to shop.
