This past weekend, I had a good mix of chill time, a little work and I attended a very special event too. I was so happy to attend a special preview of the studio opening for Barre Balance. You can see my previous post about these wonderful classes here.
I was so proud to be part of the studio opening and watching Natalie’s hard work pay off. As someone who often thinks about the idea of working for myself, it’s wonderful to watch someone else follow their passion and make it a reality. One thing I have taken from my Barre classes and from Natalie is to really focus on the positive. Creating the life you want to live, a job you love and getting joy from those things isn’t always easy, but if you can find a little bit of joy and a little bit of sparkle in the day, then why not help it brighten each day on the way to something great!
Just a few ways I like to cheer myself up, or bring a smile to my face are:
First sip of coffee of the day
Buying myself a bunch of flowers
Eating breakfast at anytime of the day
The feeling after a great yoga or barre class
What makes you happy?
