Morphe Beauty: Soft pinks and purple hues

IMG_0632

Morphe is a brand that I have been wanting to get my hands on for some time. Their eyeliner has been praised time and time again, as well as many of their other products. I found myself admiring all of the available palettes online recently and decided to try one of them out along with the infamous gel liner.

Experimenting with new brands is something I love to do. A lot of products and brands are new to me since making the move away from the body shop makeup and expanding elsewhere. As mentioned previously, eyeshadow is not something I wear on a daily basis. Yet I constantly envy so many others for the amazing looks they create with shadows. This year I want to improve my use of shadows and therefore trial a lot more palettes and products. The look for today, really focused on the beautiful pink tones in this palette, with an added cat eye for a perfect spring look.

The Base

For my base makeup I kept it very simple. Using my go to foundation from Illamasqua and a touch of the NYX HD concealer. For this look I also decided to use my Kiko cosmetics contour pencils, with more emphasis on the highlighter. The real focus, was really more on the eyeshadow and testing out this palette.

This palette is just beautiful!

Oh my gosh, what can I say. I saw this palette and just fell in love!  There are a lot of great neutral tones within this palette, gorgeous pinks, browns, and a few more metallic shades too.

Each shade is very pigmented, the palette is a great size, and honestly so gorgeous up close.  Although I hadn’t planned on buying any new eyeshadow, that’s not to say I wasn’t in need of an update. I’m excited to really experiment with these new shades, and allow my skills to improve. The focus of this look was on the beautiful soft pinks and purples that the palette contains. I can’t wait to try more of the Morphe colours in this palette, as well as more products!

The names of each of the colours are not on the palette, but if you want to see each of the ones I used, the video is on my YouTube channel.
