How to make the most of your Sunday!

Morning everyone, Happy Sunday!

As it is Sunday I wanted to celebrate this wonderful day! If you are lucky enough to not have to work then you will agree that Sunday’s are just quite possibly the best day of the week. It is the perfect day to stay in bed, make a lazy breakfast or even brunch and  just to really enjoy your free time. This is the day, if you are like me and quite busy through the week you can catch your breath, refocus and enjoy your time. Being lazy isn’t the only thing to do with your day however, why not follow my suggestions and make your Sunday count!

Enjoy the outdoors:

You have the whole day, so why not spend some time outdoors  whether walking your dog, taking a stroll, having a picnic or even just some window shopping. I live quite close to a park and I always, always feel better for having spent some time there. I love to take a book to the park and have a relaxed afternoon getting lost in the story.

Meal Prep:

Another great way to use some of your Sunday time is to prep for the week ahead. This is an essential part of my day, as I usually go to the gym prior to work and have other commitments after work, having my meals prepared ahead of time is a real life saver! If you saw my previous post here with a Pea soup recipe, you will see that I like to make a dinner in advance for the first few days of the week. Making a batch is just the easiest way I find to prep. This includes preparing veg, chopping etc, cooking quinoa or rice to keep in a sealed container and even some light salad prep too. Use this time to get yourself prepared for your week ahead!

Create a your own spa:

If cooking and meal prep really isn’t your thing, why not do the opposite and use this day for you! Have some much-needed space whether from work, or paperwork, the gym anything, and treat yourself to what makes you feel good. Sometimes I will just use a Sunday to paint my nails, use a face mask and have a lovely bath. There is nothing better than having your own mini day spa for a truly relaxed day.

Get ready for the week:

As well as preparing your meals, you can also gather what you need for the following day. For me, this will be packing my gym bag and work bag. Doing this makes it so much easier the day before, rather than the morning of. My snooze button does get overused sometimes, so having my meals and bags ready allows me to sometimes sleep in, just those extra 10 minutes.

So these are just a few suggestions for how you can stay ahead for the week and more importantly relax and enjoy your spare time.

What do you guys like to do with your days off? Let me know below!
