It’s only been a few days and already it feels too long since my last post! I wanted to take some time to discuss what we are told is the most important meal of day. Breakfast!
Now let me start by saying how much I love breakfast! If I don’t eat breakfast you can be sure that I will either become a very moody lady or I may just fall down and faint (FYI guys, I did actually faint once in a packed train station! And then I got wheeled away by a member of staff- proud moment).
As mentioned in a previous post, I am a follower of the TIU nutrition plan, and like any good plan, it does emphasise the importance of breakfast. Yesterday I took a bit of a break from my usual healthy breakfasts and decided to have a simple coffee and toast. I have to say, it was delicious and just what I needed. But what I love about breakfast is how many options we have! You can really indulge and have pancakes, with everything included. I am recent convert to the Nutella and bananas!
A healthy breakfast is also a great option, from an omelet, fruit salad, porridge, weetabix, protein pancakes! So many great options, and all delicious. If you are someone who doesn’t like breakfast then I suggest having something lighter. Smoothies are a great way to get some fruit, nutrients, and protein too if you feel like you need to add some in a fresh smoothie! They are very filling which is also a bonus, and maybe even add a healthy breakfast bar if you want something solid!
